Postcongressional Vexillological Event – Rijeka 2022 – 18 July 2022

Rijeka PVE 2022

The Croatian Heraldic and Vexillological Association (HGZD – Hrvatsko grboslovno i zastavoslovno društvo) is organizing a one‐day Postcongressional Vexillological Event in Rijeka (Croatia) on 18 July 2022 for the delegates attending the 29th International Congress of Vexillology (ICV29) to be held in Ljubljana between 11‐15 July 2022.
The event will include several lectures by Croatian vexillologists and heraldists at the University of Rijeka,
Faculty of Teacher Education, an exhibition of some flags (from Croatia’s 1990s homeland war period) brought there from collections from other cities in Croatia and a visit to see some flag‐related exhibits in the local museum. The full programme is being developed and will depend on the number of interested participants.
The event is free to the ICV29 delegates and their companions. Attendees will have to arrange on their own transport to Rijeka (there is a direct train service from Ljubljana to Rijeka), accommodation if required and their own meals. The organizers may arrange a joint visit to a restaurant, where attendees be required to cover their own costs.
Those interested are requested to register their intention to participate by 30 April 2022. The organizers
cannot guarantee availability after that date, but may accept participants if places are still available.
