This book, for the first time, based on the scientific, detailed and systematic work, talks about the changes and phases of development of the Croatian arms in the sociopolitical contexts in which it emerged and developed. Testifying the use of the arms as a symbol of the political and cultural identity of the Croatian people, the authors leads us though detailed and complex historiographic analysis of the heraldic symbols of the historical areas of the central Croatia, Dalmatia and Slavonia, as well as Dubrovnik and Istria.
