Lecture by Nikša Stančić in the State Archive in Zagreb, 9.11.2006.
On 9 November 2006 in the State Archives in Zagreb, the HGZD organized its first meeting after the establishment. Some thirty members and friends of the Association greeted the President Željko Heimer, thanking to the Archives for hosting us. The President shortly informed members on the HGZD activities in the last six months and presented academic Nikša Stančić who gave a lecture on topic “The coat of arms of the Republic of Croatia”.
Mr. Stančić recounted us his observations on the process and historical circumstances leading to the adoption of the current coat of arms, with the historic overview of the coat of arms and its elements.
After the lecture we have promoted the “zeroth” number of our bulletin “Grb i zastava”, after which we all stayed in an informal mingling.
