The Croatian Heraldic and Vexillologic Association (HGZD) was established on 4th May 2006.
The HGZD is non-governmental and non-proft organization with the goals:
- advancement of the heraldry and the vexillology as the auxilliary historica sciences and as a discipline of the modern applied art,
- enchouragement and development of wider interest for the heraldry and th vexillology and related studies such as the sphragistics, phalleristicsm genealigy and so on,
- preservation of the heraldic and the vexillologic inheritance, especially those on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
The official name of the Association in Croatian is Hrvatsko grboslovno i zastavoslovno društvo – HGZD.
The HGZD is a member of the international associations:
