1st HGZD Tribune, 23.3.2010. – Hrvoje Kekez
The 1st HGZD Tribune was held on 23 March 2010 in the lecture hall of the Classic Gymnasium of Zagreb Society (DZKG). On the occasion we had pleasure of listening to the lecture by Mr. Hrvoje Kekez, research assistant at the Croatian Institute of History, about the English heraldic authority – the College of Arms.
Mr. Kekez just returned from a study tour at the Institute for Medieval Studies in Leeds and the Institute for Historical Research in London.During his stay in Britain he had chance to visit the College of Arms,the heraldic institution of uninterrupted history of more then five centuries. Mr. Kekez presented its activities and importance and his impressions from the research he did in this leading heraldic authority.
After the lecture the attending members and friends of our Association continued with informal meeting with modest cocktail. We hope that with this we are staring a new tradition of heraldic-vexillological meetings in Zagreb and we are looking forward to seeing you again in about a month.
