Our 10th Tribune was organized in cooperation with the association of Slovenians in Zagreb and held in the Slovenian Home on Wendsday, 11th May 2011 at 19:00. We had a great pleasure to host our esteemed Slovenian colleague, Mr. Valt Jurečič.
Mr. Jurečič, held the lecture »The Slovenian Heraldry since the end of the World War II«.
The highlight of the lecture was on the local (municipal) heraldry: the overview of the state of the issue at the end of the World War II, rebirth of the local heraldry in 1960’s, the state before the independence and the joining the international tendencies in the 3rd millennium.
Mr. Jurečič deals with heraldry and related areas of study almost half a century, he is a member of several international professional associations, he realized numerous ornamentics and heraldry exhibitions, he participated on international congresses, authored several monographies and a large number of journal articles, butg he is also a very fertile heraldic artist – with almost seventy of his designs being adopted by the Slovenian municipalities. As a HGZD member, he is often present on our activities as well.
